Capturing the circle of life for me has been my passion since my dad put the first Brownie film camera in my hands when I was 10 year old little girl. The instructions were simple: Shoot the entire roll of film and we will develop it on Saturday night. I grew up on a small, isolated island and I am sure my Dad had the only makeshift dark room down there in a summer kitchen attached to an old Victorian house. It was magic. The entire process, from moving the film from the camera into all of the pans of chemicals for processing and hanging the final product to dry was pure magic.

Fast forward: Times have changed but capturing the circle of life, human emotion, the love of pets, nature, and the details that mean the most to us have not changed. The purchase of my first entry level DSLR in 2012 was again magical. Instant gratification, but a very different learning curve. Post processing is now on a computer instead of in the lab. I shoot on location, in studio, and love the challenge of ever changing natural light. I have been fortunate to shoot with some gifted artists and fellow photographers that I am sure you will see some of their work featured here on this site. I am grateful for the clients that have allowed me to experiment with backdrops, locations, and their children and for their continued support. Photography is indeed captured, timeless magic.
